Area distributor earns honors

Valley Food Service, based in Bakersfield and Visalia, won “2004 Dry Distributor of the Year” at an annual conference for a national food service marketing group. The service was recognized by the Golbon marketing group, which represents 160 distributors and 400 suppliers. Valley Food Service, a 32 year-old business that’s been a Golbon member since 1991, distributes frozen foods, deli products, canned goods, disposables and chemical supplies to restaurants, convenience stores, coffee shops and others.
